Science Lesson Plans for the Week
Throughout the week students will be completing science activities about dental health. They will learn about the importance of taking care of their teeth. They will sort picture cards showing good and bad things for their teeth, learn about the parts of their teeth, and also the different kinds of teeth they have. There will be several hands-on activities for your students to participate in throughout the week.
Dental Health PowerPoint and Posters
This PowerPoint introduces students to the importance of taking care of their teeth. Real pictures are included. If you do not have access to a computer, there are identical posters that you can use instead.
Egg Experiment
There is a recording sheet and directions to show students how different things they eat or drink can effect their teeth.
Good or Bad for Your Teeth Sort
This includes sorting cards with real pictures that students can sort based on whether or not the food or drink is good or bad for their teeth. The sorting cards will be a great visual for students during the lesson and they can complete the worksheet independently to assess their knowledge of the material.
How I Brush My Teeth Mini-Book
This contains four pages that will make a mini-book about how to take care of your teeth.
Teeth Care Craftivity
This craftivity will have students create an adorable mouth with teeth and then apply what they are learning by writing how they can take care of their own teeth.
Parts of a Mouth PowerPoint and Posters
This PowerPoint introduces students to the parts of a mouth. Real pictures are included. If you do not have access to a computer during the lesson, there are identical posters that you can use instead.
